Rd 3 NZ Series - George Brannigan's Report

Here a few words from George, 17 years old. As junior he is competing in the Elite category in the NZ national series, so we are really happy about his last result, which was 4th overall in the last race held in Nelson.

"The track conditions werent ideal on practice day. The track is rock the whole way down and it was wet so it wasnt too easy to ride.
By race day the sun was out and the track was drying really quick.
My seeding run was good and I stuck to my lines; another 3rd in seeding was a surprise to me but I gained some confidence after not feeling like this was my track.
By race run the track was almost completely dry and the deralior eating ruts were blowen out by now. It was kind of like a moto track at the bottom half of the course. I hit all my lines again but got pretty loose on the blown out sections, still to put down a solid run. I ended up in fourth so all in all it was a good race for me and I have already achieved my goal of the series which is to get on the podium for elite."

Le classifiche della 3°NZ national a nelson. Fantastico George 3° in Seeding e 4° assoluto a soli pochi decimi dal 3° e davanti a tanti Big nonchè naturalemte primo degli junior. Well Done George!

Tutto OK per George

Niente di grave ,dopo la caduta di Dunedin per George, dovrebbe essere già arrivato a Nelson per la prossima nazionale ,ci dice che è molto determinato a rifarsi.
Rhys non ha gare questo fine settimana e sfrutterà l'occasione per farsi dare un'occhiata a la mano infortunata assieme al femore, nell'incidente di tre mesi fà e che, a differenza della gamba, gli dà ancora fastidio.
Ci sono diverse sue foto in giro sul web e non ce ne una che non lo ritragga di uno stile veramente esagerato

Hi Tomaso,

My final today didn't go as planned. I didn't had a good run and struggled with the soft gravel at the bottom of the track. Sam Hill crashed in the same area and I was lucky to hang on, but it took away alot of my speed.

Even though I didn't get a top 5 result, I am happy with finishing 7th. It's been a hard road back after breaking my femur 3 months ago, and have only been riding for 2 weeks. So I know that I'm only going to improve between now and the first world cup.

It feels so good to be riding my Ancillotti and can't wait till the next race.

Speriamo che non si sia fatto nulla e ci rifaremo alla prossima,il rock garden infatti ha fatto diverse vittime tra cui Blenky ,che purtroppo si è rotto il polso sinistro.

Rhys 5° nel seeding

Per quanto sono riuscito a sapere del seeding Rhys è andato piu' di ogni previsione anche se ripeto, nel seeding, quinto posto assoluto per lui a cinque secondi dal primo che è indovinate.. Sam Hill.

Incrociamo le dita per la finale comunque non mi aspettavo già tali livelli di prestazione al suo rientro dalla brutta frattura al femore che lo ha tenuto fermo per quasi 3 mesi.
Credo che l'ammireremo presto in italia per il suo stile aereo, guardate anche questa foto dopo quella di ieri!

Poco dopo è arrivata anche la mail di Rhys molto contento e direi gasato, in bocca al lupo e incrociamo le dita:

I had a mostly good run but will be turning up the speed in the finals. I'm loving riding again thanks to the bike you sent me. It's so good to ride and everyone here is loving it.
